🍰 What Does our Murder and Macaroons Package Include?
What Happens on the Day?
12:30pm - Private chef & Murder Mystery hosts arrive:
Your chef and actors arrive to begin setup. Please ensure the kitchen is clean and show the actors to a private room where they can get into costume and prepare.
1:30pm - Murder & Macaroons Begins:
Your hosts introduce the story, assign final character details and set the mystery in motion.
1:45pm - Act One & First Course Served:

The mystery kicks off with the first clues revealed.

Sandwiches and savouries are served as guests start questioning suspects and forming early theories.
2:15pm - Act Two & Scones Served:

New twists emerge and tensions rise as motives become clearer.

Warm scones are served with jam and cream while guests dig deeper into the investigation.
2:45pm - Act Three & Sweet Course Served:

Final clues drop as the story reaches its peak.

Cakes and sweet treats are served while guests make their final accusations.
3:15pm - The Big Reveal:
The hosts guide everyone through the final twist, revealing the killer, and those who got it right (or hilariously wrong).
3:30pm - Experience Concludes:
Guests wrap up the fun as your chef completes service and clean-up.
Premium teas (English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Peppermint or Green) are served throughout, with the option to add a glass of Prosecco per guest.
Your chef handles all preparation, service and clean-up.
Please note: plates, cutlery and drinkware must be available for your chef to use.
What Happens Before the Event?
Once you've secured your date with the deposit above, your event planner will be in touch to discuss the finer details. Shortly after you will receive a confirmation email with your supplier contact information.
Our expert Murder Mystery team will be in touch to discuss theme choices for the Murder Mystery evening and they will send over character profiles for you to assign to your guests. You can share these via email or WhatsApp or print and posts to your guests! Your character profiles will include details of the character, such as their background story, any accents, outfit and possibly some clues...
The event planner will also send over a food menu and enquire after any dietary requirements.
Your private chef will be in touch closer to the date. They'll share a seasonal sample menu, guide you on menu choices and request any dietary requirements or special requests.
Murder and Macaroons – Our Award-Winning Party Package
Step into the 1920s for a light-hearted afternoon of intrigue, indulgence and clever detective work. Murder and Macaroons is a fast-paced, character-driven murder mystery designed for private groups, perfect for 8–24 guests.
The peaceful village you’ve been invited to is hiding a dark secret: the local Lord has been found murdered down a lonely country lane. You and your guests have received anonymous invitations to an afternoon tea, but all is not as it seems. As the story unfolds, everyone becomes a key player, working together (and sometimes against each other!) to uncover the killer before they strike again.
Guided by expert hosts, guests receive character profiles in advance and are encouraged to step into the fun with light costumes, clues and accents. Expect twists, laughs and plenty of playful mischief… and yes, someone will get their just desserts.
Paired with a beautifully curated Afternoon Tea prepared by a private chef, complete with sandwiches, savouries, pastries, desserts and premium teas, this experience is as delicious as it is dramatic.
Costumes
This isn’t compulsory for guests, but we think that It adds to the fun if participants are dressed in costume! If you do wish to come dressed in costume:
